The Audiovector R 3 is the most compact floor-standing loudspeaker in Audiovector's acclaimed R Series, designed to deliver the performance of a much larger speaker while maintaining a slim, room-friendly footprint.
Handcrafted in Denmark, it combines elegant Scandinavian design with advanced engineering to produce a highly balanced, natural, and engaging sound. The R 3 is intended for music lovers who want high-end performance without compromising on aesthetics or placement flexibility.
The R 3 employs a sophisticated 2.5-way bass reflex design featuring two custom 6.5-inch carbon-fibre drivers and either a soft dome or Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, depending on the model. The upper driver handles both bass and midrange frequencies, while the lower driver is dedicated to deep bass, delivering impressive low-frequency extension and dynamic impact from a compact enclosure. The AMT-equipped Avantgarde and Arreté versions provide exceptional detail, speed, and openness in the high frequencies, creating a spacious and highly accurate soundstage.
The cabinet is carefully engineered to minimise unwanted resonance and diffraction. Non-parallel internal surfaces reduce standing waves, while laminated HDF baffles and Nano Pore damping materials suppress cabinet vibrations. The slim front profile improves stereo imaging and soundstage precision, allowing instruments and vocals to be reproduced with excellent focus and realism.
Audiovector incorporates a range of proprietary technologies throughout the R 3 series to maximise performance. These include the Low Compression Concept (LCC), which allows the drive units to move more freely for improved dynamics, the No Energy Storage (NES) driver mounting system that reduces mechanical resonance, and the Soundstage Enhancement Concept (SEC), which increases openness and spatial accuracy.
