The Audiovector R 6 is a high-end floor-standing loudspeaker designed for listeners seeking both exceptional musical performance and refined craftsmanship.
Engineered and handcrafted in Denmark, the R 6 combines powerful dynamics with natural tonal balance, delivering detailed, emotionally engaging sound while remaining easy to drive. The R 6 features a sophisticated 4.5-way configuration built around Audiovector's proprietary drive units. Its Isobaric Compound Bass system combines an internal 6.5-inch woofer with a downward-firing 8-inch bass driver, producing deep, tightly controlled low frequencies with excellent dynamics. Carbon-fibre mid/bass drivers deliver clear, detailed midrange reproduction, while the Arreté version adds a dedicated rear-firing 3-inch midrange driver to enhance depth, ambience, and three-dimensional imaging. High frequencies are handled by Audiovector's Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, which offers exceptional speed, detail, and openness.
The cabinet is carefully engineered to minimise resonance and colouration. Constructed from dense HDF with vacuum-pressed curved panels, a laminated rear baffle, and extensive internal bracing, the enclosure reduces standing waves and unwanted vibrations. Strategically placed Nano Pore damping material further suppresses resonance, allowing the drivers to perform with greater accuracy and clarity while maintaining a stable and well-focused soundstage.
Audiovector incorporates several proprietary technologies into the R 6 to maximise performance. Freedom Grounding reduces distortion caused by electrical currents between the drive units by providing a dedicated grounding path, lowering the noise floor and improving realism. Additional innovations include Low Compression Concept (LCC) for unrestricted driver movement, Soundstage Enhancement Concept (SEC) to improve openness, No Energy Storage (NES) driver mounting to reduce mechanical resonance, and Natural Crystal Structure (NCS) cryogenic treatment for improved signal transmission and component performance.
The R 6 is available in Signature, Avantgarde, and Arreté versions, each offering progressively higher levels of performance through upgraded drivers, crossover components, and proprietary technologies.
