K6
The ProAc K6 is a high-end floor-standing loudspeaker designed for audiophiles seeking smooth, highly detailed reproduction with an impressively flat response across the frequency range.
Its substantial cabinet measures 1150mm high, 212mm wide and 344mm deep, with each speaker weighing 44kg. The cabinet uses HDF of varying thicknesses with extensive bitumen damping, creating a carcass approximately 35mm thick to provide a rigid and well-controlled platform for the drive units
The K6 uses two handmade ProAc 165mm (6.5-inch) Studio Professional bass/midrange drivers featuring polymer-impregnated Kevlar cones. These are combined with a dedicated 50mm (2-inch) soft-dome midrange driver featuring a CNC-machined 6061 aluminium-alloy air coupling. High frequencies are handled by ProAc’s ribbon tweeter, which uses an extremely lightweight diaphragm together with an Alnico magnet and rear-chamber damping. This three-way driver configuration is designed to provide effortless detail, precise imaging and the large, lifelike soundstage associated with ProAc’s K Series.
The K6 has a frequency response of 25Hz–30kHz, a sensitivity of 90dB at 1W/1m and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. ProAc recommends amplifiers rated between 10 and 250 watts. Its crossover incorporates high-quality components on a dedicated dual-layer circuit board, with ProAc multistrand oxygen-free copper cable used throughout. The crossover is split to support optional bi-wiring and bi-amplification.

Standard finishes include Black Ash, Mahogany, Cherry, Silk White, Natural Oak and Walnut, while Liquidambar, Rosewood and Ebony are offered as premium finishes to order at additional cost.
