The two-way design uses a precision crossover at 1.7kHz to integrate the drivers, producing an open and dynamic presentation with controlled bass, natural high frequencies and a wide soundstage. A rear-mounted bass-reflex port helps extend the frequency response down to 43Hz, while sensitivity is rated at 85.5dB and nominal impedance at 6 ohms.
Finished in Black Natural Walnut veneer, the R25 features rigid internal bracing, concealed driver mounting and a magnetically attached grille for a clean appearance. Arcam recommends amplifiers rated between 15 and 200 watts, making the R25 particularly well suited to the company’s Radia electronics while remaining compatible with other high-quality amplification.
